Red Ribbon Week is a time to learn about making healthy choices for our bodies and staying away from harmful drugs.  This year's theme is "My Future Matters!  I Stay Away from Harmful Drugs."  We wore red and white today to remind us that "Our School is United Against Harmful Drugs!"

One School One Book

We are ECSTATIC to announce that our 2017-2018 book choice is Charlotte's Web by E.B. White, which was revealed to students in a school-wide assembly Friday, September 15th. All students received a copy of the text as well as an introductory letter for parents. We will post the reading assignments weekly as well as the discussion questions and audio version of the text. • Elementary Report Card Survery for Parents/ Guardians of Elementary Students

  The partnership between home and school is important to the growth and development of every student. We are looking to use this partnership to improve the way we report your child’s progress in our elementary schools.

  Pennsylvania has established academic standards that reflect the knowledge and skills our students need to succeed in life after high school. In keeping with these standards, Wilson will continue to measure student progress in our elementary schools with a standards-based report card. However, we recognize that the format we have been using for reporting progress to parents may not be offering the information you are hoping to learn about your child’s growth with the academic standards.

  Below you will find a link to a survey which asks your input as parents/guardians of a Wilson elementary student. We hope to learn what kinds of information you would find most informative on a student report card.

Skyward Family Access Password Reset

We are happy to announce we have launched a new “Forgot your Login/Password?” link on our Skyward Student login page. When utilizing this feature, you will receive an email containing a password reset link for your Skyward Family Access account as long as you have an up to date email address on file. This feature will only work for parents/guardians. If you are a student or staff member, your Skyward login credentials will continue to be managed by the district.

To update your email address in Family Access, log in and then click on “My Account” located in the top right of the window. Type your email address in the “Email” field, followed by clicking Save.  You will also have the ability to change your password here by using the “Change Password” button.

If you are unaware of your Skyward Family Access Login ID and/or Password, and you do not have an up to date email address already stored in Skyward, please contact your child’s school office for assistance.

CHIP INFORMATION

CHIP covers uninsured kids and teens up to age 19. With more than 139,000 uninsured children in Pennsylvania, this is great news for families!

CHIP provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health and much more. CHIP covers uninsured kids who are not eligible for Medical Assistance. For most families, CHIP is free – for others, it is low cost.

The CHIP program is pleased to partner with school districts in helping families find health insurance coverage for their children. Schools are a valuable partner in this effort. After all, healthy kids are better students.

Dads: Be a Hero for A Day!

Be a Watch D.0.G.!

Dads of Great Students spend a day at school helping children in classrooms, with small groups and one-on-one. They do flashcards, read, listen, play games and more. They have lunch, specials and an academic class with their own children. Most of all, these dads connect with kids, letting them know by their very presence that the men in their community care about them and their education!
