Mrs. Toni M. Vanino

It brings me great joy to work as a reading specialist at Cornwall Terrace Elementary! I am continuing my journey in this school to inspire and teach young children how to read. In addition, I enjoy working with families and the community to foster that love for literacy.

One of my favorite childhood memories was listening to my third grade teacher read Charlotte's Web. I can remember the author's use of language and how much I enjoyed that experience. This impacted my decision to delve into children's literature as a young reader! Great literature took me to a place that was special. Today, I still enjoy reading all kinds of books, but reading children's literature continues to be a very favorite past time. It is my dream to someday write a children's book about my son and our very funny Boston Terriers!

I value the power of learning! I am a graduate of Wilson High School and Millersville University, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in elementary education, Reading Specialist certification and Master's Degree in elementary education. In addition, I received my Reading Recovery certification from Shippensburg University. At the present time, I am pursuing a doctorate degree in Language Arts & Literacy from Widener University.
