Take anatomy and physiology to the next level with heart surgery! Students use a virtual "scalpel" and step-by-step assistance by a surgeon guiding the process to complete heart transplant surgery. In the virtual Nova operating theatre, students are walked through straightforward procedures. Obviously, in real life it is much different, but by the end students have a general idea of the procedures and steps involved. Assistance through the procedure provides directions and prevents mistakes in the procedure. Site requires shockwave plug-in which is available on the site.
