A Message from Dr. Hutchko:
Hello,
My name is Frank Hutchko and I am the school counselor for all of the 9th grade students. My primary goal is to help students transition from the middle school level to the high school level. I encourage students and parents to contact me once a concern or problem becomes apparent; I take a very proactive approach and would rather address a concern early to avoid it becoming a larger problem later.
Following high school graduation in 1988, I attended Temple University and in 1993 received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. I returned to graduate school after a number of years working in the juvenile justice system and pursued a Master of Education degree at West Chester University. In 2004, I entered into a Doctoral program at Immaculata University and received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in July of 2013.
Professionally, I have worked with teenagers for almost 22 years. My career began in the juvenile justice system; first I worked as a counselor in a secure detention facility and then as a Juvenile Probation Officer. My final assignment as a probation officer was a school-based position, which began my interest in working in public education and my pursuit to become a school counselor. I began working in the Wilson School district in 2002 and spent 14 years at Southern Middle School before transferring to Wilson High School. In addition to working as a school counselor, I enjoy working with individuals and families in a private psychology practice.
I am always available to speak to students or parents to make the experience at Wilson High School a positive and happy one. Please do not hesitate to contact if you have questions or concerns.
