Take I-78 West to I-81 South to Harrisburg. Take US 322 West thru Lewistown to State College.
Continue past State College on US 322 West to Philipsburg. (US 322 joins I-99 before branching off near Philipsburg.)
At Philipsburg, US 322 West will bear right off of Railroad Street. Continue on US 322W to the village of Woodland.
In Woodland, you'll turn right onto PA 970 and travel 1.5 miles to its junction with I-80 West. Turn left onto I-80 West and travel approximately 100 miles to its junction with I-79 North.
Exit onto I-79 North and travel approximately 60 miles to Exit 174 (West Street) for McKean.
Turn right at the end of the ramp and travel 1.1 miles to a T-intersection at PA 99. Turn left and proceed 0.15 mile to a Y-intersection and bear left on PA 99.
Continue 0.35 miles to Grubb Road and turn left.
Follow Grubb Road, crossing I-79 & I-90, to its intersection with PA 832 (Sterrettania Road) and turn right.
Continue on PA 832 0.75 mile to a left turn at Caughney Road.
Go straight ahead 0.2 mile, cross West 38th Street. Erie McDowell HS entrance is ahead on the left.
