• Hello, I am Chris Carr the art instructor at Shiloh Hills.  I have been teaching art at Wilson for 19 years and ENJOYING every minute of it.  I have the greatest job in the world.  I help students to explore, interpret, analyze, and evaluate their personal art work as well as the artwork of "The Masters".  Art is such a broad subject, that the world is literally our canvas.  I have been offering ART CLUB after school for 5th graders since 2007!

    EDUCATION:

I graduated from Kutztown University in 1994 with a BS in Communication Design (Advertising) and a BSEd in Art Education.  I was given the opportunity to become a full time Art Teacher in the Wilson School District in 1995.  Since then I have had the privilege to teach in many Wilson Elementary buildings:  West Wyomissing, Sinking Spring, Lower Heidelberg, Southern Middle School, and Shiloh Hills.  I achieved a milestone in my career in 2000.  I was the first person in my family to earn my Masters Degree.  Since that time I have enjoyed teaching an average of 600 - 750 students a week, in two to three school buildings. I am also the Chairperson of the Art Department K-12 since 1997.

    FAMILY AND HOBBIES:

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  I attended Catholic school for 12 years.  I have two younger siblings, a brother and a sister.  My wife and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our son and our dog.  I LOVE to golf, read, work out, play all kinds of sports, play video games, do ANYTHING out doors, watch movies, and cheer for my Philadelphia sports teams...
