    My name is Tim Fick and I will be the 6th grade science teacher on the RED team at Wilson West.
     
    I am an alumnus of Wilson (class of 1991) and Moravian College.  At Moravian, I received my B.A. in Economics and Finance.  Following graduation, I enrolled at Alvernia College where I received my PA Teaching Certification.  It was at this time that I became the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Wilson and an assistant coach with the girls team.  Finally, in the summer of 2004, I received my Masters Degree in Education with a focus in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.
     
    In addition to my teaching duties, I am currently the girls soccer coach at Wilson.  This Fall will be my 14th year as the head coach of the girls' team (my 21th year overall with the girls program).  During my playing career I had some outstanding coaches who influenced me greatly.  By coaching, I hope that I am able to give back some of which was given to me.
     
    When I am not teaching or coaching, I try to spend as much time as I can with my wife and son.  
     

    COURSE DESCRIPTION

    Grade 6 - Science is a course that focuses on three disciplines– life, physical, and earth sciences. Ecology examines the relationships of abiotic and biotic components of our environment. The sixth grade environmental camping experience connects classroom learning to the outdoor setting. During Catastrophic Events, students learn about meteorology and geology and the dangers that storms, earthquakes and volcanoes can pose.
