Child Development

The focus of this course is understanding and developing practices that nurture and guide children

through the developmental stages of infancy, toddlerhood, preschool, school age, and

adolescence. Students will analyze the stages of emotional, social, physical, and intellectual

growth of children. This course is designed to help students develop and practice observation

skills through their work with the children in the child-care center.
