Mr. Matthew D. Werley

Hi. I am the guidance counselor here at West for last names that begin with letters A through L. I live in Fleetwood, PA with my beautiful wife, two great kids, a goofy chocolate lab and three spoiled cats.

I have been fortunate to be at Wilson for the last 5 years as both the Assistant Principal and Guidance Counselor. Prior to coming to Wilson, I worked at Muhlenberg Middle School as a guidance counselor for 9 years. I also spent 9 years after college working in the business world for the Wood Company.

I am a graduate of Kutztown High School and have degrees from the University of South Carolina, Kutztown University and Cabrini College. In my free time ... I love to golf, hike, run, check out live music and hang with family and friends.

Here at West ... I serve as the Student Council Advisor & Junior Honor Society Advisor. I also serve on the building Olweus Anti-Bullying Committee.

I strive each day to understand where our students are at, listen as much as possible and be source of support for every student, parent and teacher.
